I like both fighters, and agree there is a similarity. I like Margarito better, though.

Adamek has an excellent chin, but Marg's is even better - pure iron. Adamek is a pressure-fighter, but Marg throws more punches and puts more pressure on. Adamek has good stamina, but Marg's is even better - amazingly, he gets better in the late rounds!

I give Adamek the edge in one category: although Marg punches hard, Adamek has more one-punch power.

There are definite similarities between the two. I know Cunningham doesn't have good power but Adamek took some brutal shots in there. True Adamek doesn't have the workrate and maybe not quite as sturdy as Margarito but he shares a lot of the same qualities. Always comes forward, great chin, good power, and imposes his will.

Overall, last night was great for boxing. It showed that you don't have to pay $55 to see good fights.

Good comparison, but I'd say Marg is tougher while Tomasz is more skilled.

Adamek took all Cunningham had and dished his own out. True warrior. Though Cunningham could have easilly won that fight, ****** mistakes got him knocked down 3 times, should have used the jab and not get into trading wars with Adamek.

Adamek has a better jab. They are both equally good at cutting the ring off, but Tony has much better stamina. You could tell how gassed Adamek was, I've NEVER seen Tony get like that. The chin's are certainly comparable, but Margarito's pressure is more because not only is he always coming at you, he's always throwing....and throwing combinations at that.

Adamke's punches are much tighter, much straighter which is a pretty big deal, plus, p4p he has one punch KO power while Tony doesn't.

Interesting comparison, but there are definitely differences.

I think Cunningham=a very green Chad Dawson.

heck yeah man .. GREAT fight, for a free TV card.

hopefully they rematch some time next year, and the bold, if you saw the punches landed stats ...Tomasz got him i think 20 something more times

maybe these 2 will go on to have another great fight .. ala Bell/Mormeck?

You sure he is the C.W version of Margarito because if so...then B-Hop should have an easy time

Adamek and Margarito really aren't that much like each other.

Adamek is a more well rounded fighter. Margarito is able to get away with things because he can absorb an epic amount of punishment without wavering. Adamek actually has to fight behind a jab...he couldn't get away with taking 3-4 shots to land 1-2. Tomasz has apply calculated pressure where Margarito can just walk through power shots.

Adamek is a far better combination puncher as well. His technique and overall speed are better than Margs for his weight class.

Margarito is an iron chinned bastard with good power and excellent stamina. He throws so many punches and mixes them pretty well which yields great results.

The better comparison to Margarito in my opinion is Librado Andrade. He is able to take a ton of punches without feeling the effects and that allows him to be a real danger. Lucian Bute understands that **** very well. Tony is obviously a better fighter than Andrade, but the similarities are there.
