Not sure whether you are being sarcastic, or you actually mean it! If you mean it you must be a very bitter person and blatently cant accept his fighter lost.Comment

I agree with most of what you've said. There's a reason why Chris Rock can say "cracker" 100 times during a comedy performance in front of a white crowd and get laughs. It's because there's no harm behind such a comment since historically black people have never had the power to make a slur hurtful. The only people who are upset over the comment are generally racist themselves. They don't like that "one of them" would dare say something like that about "us", as though there is no reason for black people to ever be upset. It's not because they've actually hurt by the comments, it's because it came from someone they already feel hostility towards.Being a caucasian myself, I find Hopkins' remark hilarious. Don't you find it hilarious?
It's hilarious if you know Hopkins' character, if you know he digs mischief-making and if you also know there isn't a prejudiced bone in his body. Peep mt102879's avatar and tell me what you see.
This **** is only worth getting worked up over when there's anything resembling malice or hatred motivating it, as opposed to crafty baiting.
The 2 examples Flawless cites are legitimate examples of such, if admittedly from bygone eras.
I would condone Hopkins comment but I think it's painfully obvious that he's only saying it for promotion. Yet some people apparently don't want to believe it no matter how much supportive evidence (such as Hopkins winking at a reporter after saying it to Calzaghe) there is. Likely because they WANT a reason to attack a black fighter.Comment

an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind50 years ago black people couldn't even ride the damn bus and they had to go to seperate bathrooms and places to eat. not to mention the constant persecution they endured in daily life just for being black. consider this a little well earned payback that the black people get to hold over your head for years of racism.Comment
