But why people tend to only believe from one extreme, or the other is a mystery. It's rarely black or white fools, it's usually grey.

Manny performed very well and woulda beaten any ODL around this time, probably. But the sheer extent of the one sided pounding merely one year on from ODL performing well means he is not totally shot. He is more past prime, and he was simply to some extent not 100% physically and mentally, largely to do with the weight. You can't hide from the fact that this is one of his worst performances, he couldn't even move well on his own accord, or punch fresh air well. Manny had little to do with those things. Osca has not been so low in weight for years, you should not be sooo low in weight for weeks leading up to a fight when it's nowhere near your natural weight, and only gain 2 lbs, coming in lighter than a fly weight.

It's a mixture of both Manny performing very well, and to whatever extent ODL not being right with that weight and the timing and hydration he oddly performed, like no other fighter does hardly. Accept it.

Nacho is as foolish not to recognise this. Roach speaks a lot of sense on this matter and I'd suggest people take the time out to listen to some of his recent interviews.
agree with everything you said except the fact many beats any DLH.....thats nonsense.

Going down from your natural weight kills your strength and endurance.

          totally agree with you two...

Did oscar have any food and water or gatorade after the weigh in? He should of gained at least anywhere from 8-12pounds.

Floyd could'nt beat the **** out DLH, so how can he beat Pac. But he could beat the **** out Garbages like (N'dou, bruseles, baldomir,Mitchell,Corley,Sosa) list goes on & on.

You must not have watched alot of Oscar fights if you think that.

its not like oscar was a zombie on fight night, its just that pacquiao made him look like one, give credit to where its due and enuff of the excuses
There is alot of people who would've beaten that version of Oscar that night.

Not just Pacquiao, face it. He was a mummy that night.

Yes and a lot of people felt anyone could beat the current version of Hopkins. Unfortunately there are a lot of intagibles that different fighters cause which influence a bout. Fact is if a guy didn't move like Pac De La Hoya would have thrown a ton more punches. Styles do make fights. I'm sure you don't think Pavlik is going to walk in to his next fight with the same output as he had vs Hopkins.
