I give a lot of credit to Manny for a great performance, and think he woulda beaten a fitter, better performing ODL.

But why people tend to only believe from one extreme, or the other is a mystery. It's rarely black or white fools, it's usually grey.

Manny performed very well and woulda beaten any ODL around this time, probably. But the sheer extent of the one sided pounding merely one year on from ODL performing well means he is not totally shot. He is more past prime, and he was simply to some extent not 100% physically and mentally, largely to do with the weight. You can't hide from the fact that this is one of his worst performances, he couldn't even move well on his own accord, or punch fresh air well. Manny had little to do with those things. Osca has not been so low in weight for years, you should not be sooo low in weight for weeks leading up to a fight when it's nowhere near your natural weight, and only gain 2 lbs, coming in lighter than a fly weight.

It's a mixture of both Manny performing very well, and to whatever extent ODL not being right with that weight and the timing and hydration he oddly performed, like no other fighter does hardly. Accept it.

Nacho is as foolish not to recognise this. Roach speaks a lot of sense on this matter and I'd suggest people take the time out to listen to some of his recent interviews.

Manny is the best. But due to Manny's aggression and agility, Oscar nearly nailed him with a left upper cut in the first round when they tangled. That could change the outcome, but luckily Manny manage to slip. Oscar should have extended his left arm always to cover Manny's face and threw in a 1-2-3 combination, then slide from both sides. Its like Oscar was acting like a noob or an amateur. Oscar should have gained 10 or more pounds heavier at fight night. If Oscar will be given a rematch, catch weight should be between 140 - 150 with a purse with equal percentage or Manny will have the 60%. Plus Oscar will get back in his favorite trainer. Im sure the outcome would be different.

Nacho speaks the truth. He knew his guy couldn't win so he called the fight.

            Oscar weight drained

It's clear to all eyes that Oscar killed himself making the 145 pounds. This is why he has been fighting at 154 and also explains why he was able to perform better against Floyd at 154. It doesnt take a rocket scientist to see that Oscar was physically drained at 145. I like Pacqiuo but this win does not but tarnish Oscar's legacy. Pacquio will have more competitive fights at 140. Those guys like Hatton and Zab and Marquez and Campbell will be in great shape at 140 and will give Pacquio tougher fights.. This was just a money fight event for boxing. This wasnt about who is the better fighter. This was all business..

Nacho has been a trainer for a long time so he should know that when a fighter hasn't been at a certain weight for a long time and has to take on a special diet than that's not a good sign. Also, when you train that hard and you're doing all of the types of workouts that he was doing at a higher level than normal, it drains the hell out of you. Bascially Oscar left it all in the gym. Manny didn't do anything different from what he normally does. He just fought a shot De La Hoya. Another reason Nacho could be coming out saying what he's saying is that he's being blamed for Oscar's performance. So obviously he's coming out and trying to clear the air on his end. Again, I'm not an Oscar fan by any means but facts are facts. Oscar flat out looked like **** and it wasn't because of what Manny was doing. He just looked like he didn't have it because of weight loss. Also, if things were normal Oscar wouldn't have looked so thin, pale and he would've gained more than 2lbs before the fight. One meal could've put more weight on him than that. Roach is right, he was probably throwing up a bit or nausiated from eating so he didn't eat much. All that 2lbs was that he did gain was water weight and not protein and food put back into his system.

Nacho has an ax to grind against Pacman, praising him will be the last thing he would do. I'll give Nacho's insights of the fight full weight than someone from here who thinks he knows everything that was going on at Oscar's camp.

Don't be surprised, in 6 months time to see DLH announcing a comeback into the ring, because of BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!! He will say he was weight drained, and couldn't fight at that weight, and his trainer was the reason he lost the fight. More excuses from a B.S. fighter. Every professional on this site who has commented, has said, the same thing, RETIRE! Will he listen, NO! His next fight will be against Vernon Forrest at 154!
