After the Fight last week, i sent George Foreman an Email, asking him what he thought of the fight and Oscars future, received this reply and i thought id share it with you all.
"Brendon, Hello friend,
It was a good fight; Oscar did his best! The Pac man has been pretty active, with fighters much faster than Oscar.
Oscar on the other hand, has been too enactive. Then he takes on one of the best fighters in the lower weights. To make it even worse; he loses too much weight. Oscar did not have fat on his body.
So he drained muscle. The great left jab he had was for bigger guys, not to catch smaller fellows.
You go to your corner, and all they can say is "We need to stop the fight!" the place where you go to get advice; and they have given up. There is little to do but to give up.
He had no idea the lead left hands of Pacquiao would effect him so much. but they did. And the loss of the weight and muscle. Was too much to over come. It is a good thing he is not hurt worst.
Keep the love of the sport; Oscar gave us a lot. Now it is his time to move on.
We all have to move on. It is hard to see the writing on the wall."
Yours,
George Foreman
