pacquiao is no more a 147 guy than floyd is a 154 guy.

it's okay for floyd to fight at 154 for oscar but then come back down to 147 but manny has to stay at 147? wtf?
Pac is as much as a welterweight as Floyd is. Both are 149
The only difference is, Floyd fought at Welterweight, even Jr. Middle despite weighing 149. Pac, was 147 pounds for a 135 pound bout.

Floyd went up for one reason; the same reason as Pac: O$car. The only difference is, Floyd didn't have Freddie to negotiate so Floyd had to fight a live opponent that was 164+ pounds by fight time. Floyd should have tried to get the fight at 147 like Pac...and, never caved on the gloves...but, Floyd did what Oscar wanted.

The good part for Floyd was that for the weigh-ins, all he had to do is show up, take a piss, and make weight. He didn't have to take pills or other means to dehydrate himself to make weight.

The only question is, who comes out of retirement first, Leonard, Ali, or Floydy? Nary a peep from any of them.
Sarcasm i hope. I know u really dont believe that Floyd has a billion dollars.

It would seem fair to me if a pac-floyd fight took place at 140-143. None of them is true welters anyway.

Will the fighters be showing up at 140-143 by fight time?

the fights not going to be for titles anyway, so they can just fight at the weight they choose for the contract. 149 Cap.

the biggest hang up is money.... floyd wants all of it, but manny is equally deserving of it... it should be 50/50 split, but floyd will never go for that and therefore this fight won't come off.

nah, it will be a catchweight between 147 and 140 or the fight won't happen... but floyd can make 140 easy.

Floyd would want his fair share. Anybody know what the % was for the Hatton fight...as well as the Oscar fight?

I know he got a lesser cut for Oscar...not sure with Hatton.

Either way, if it doesn't make a certain amount of millions for him, I don't think he would come back unless he "wants" it for pride.

You know the rules. The current weigh-in's are the day before as a consequence of the Kim-Mancini disaster. There aint morning weigh-ins or ringside weigh-ins anymore.

Perhaps I dont get your point?

if floyd is not really a 147 guy then he should have no problems fighting at 140......

Floyd is nowhere near a billionaire. Oscar is not even a billionaire yet, and he made way more money fighting than mayweather. He just started receiving 20-30millon dollars a fight during his last two outings. b4 that his highest payday was a fight again baldomir, in which he received 8,000,001. The judah fight he only received 5 mill(http://www.********boxing.com/news.php?p=6570&more=1). So the man is far from being a billionaire.
