    cinco de mayo.

staples center or home depot center.

    hbo not ppv.

oscar ko's his most hated rival's son.

    excellent farewell fight.

if he was just weightdrained/dehydrated and not really shot. i'd even put him up against cotto at 154.

i think he has a decent shot at beating cotto.

If DLH is indeed shot, he won't even beat JCC Jr., it could turn out to be something like Ali-Berbick.

        don't say that.

let's just hope it was the weightdrain/diet and fighting at 147.

i like oscar. i want him to have a decent farewell fight.

one more fight at 154 could show us if he is indeed shot, or that making 147 was too difficult and affected him on the night.

Personally i don't think its worth the risk.

          Oscar should retire.

If he is shot and it wasn't problems with the weight or overtraining, he won't even beat Chavez Jr. it's pretty clear how to beat DLH now, just push him back to the ropes and unload your punches, he can't do anything about that unless he really does have something left at 154.

Oscar won't fight JCC Jr, he's fighting Tito on Friday Night Fights on ESPN next year.

oh damn. I forgot all about this matchup. and honestly, I would go for it. Jr aint all that great, I dont see De La Hoya getting very hurt against him win or lose. and its almost a fitting end, considering Oscar's history with Chavez.

I wouldnt mind this fight happening, but a part of me feels like it would be overhyped, which would irritate me.
