Does anybody actually give a **** about the Cruiserweight division?

I am excited to follow Alekseev's progress and there are alot of real good potential matchups, if you don't think so you should take a closer look at the division

Why is Cun-Adamek on thursday???

I think it's because Thursday is Versus Fight Night.

I like the cruiserweight division. Since it changed from 190 to 200, it's now the ideal fighting weight for a lot of fighters. Famous heavyweights of the past like Rocky Marciano, Jack Dempsey and even the young Cassius Clay fought at a weight below 200.

Too bad it doesn't get a higher profile and more media attention, because there's a lot of heavyweights who should be fighting at cruiserweight: Mollo, Ibragimov, Platov, Chambers, Boytsov, Batchelder, Richards, Fedosov, etc. They fight at heavyweight because the money's much better.

I like the division but it is clear 17 divisions and 3+ belts a division is hurting the sport. At the very least I would like to see one belt and one belt only, once that happens ( if ever) we can then think about the need or excess of 17 weight divisions.

Bro, I think all it takes is a good fight or two that you can actually watch on American tv rather than Euro-streams at weird hours , and you'd like the division.

It's understandable when you don't know the guys cuz u never get to see em fight.

But at least Thursday is a start.

I agree. The fights I've been to, the fans cheer when the cruiserweights are fighting and sometimes boo the slow-moving, overweight heavyweights.

When there's a weight limit, the fighters remain in better shape.
