I'm Mexican-American, and I know a lot of Mexicans find it offensive because Manny isn't Mexican, but I too find it amusing that he at least sung it and in Spanish at that, I think its funny and besides its a Spanish news station that asked him to sing it anyways...so whats the big deal?

tagalog (resident language of the philipinines) and spanish are quite similar
"Ang hindi marunong lumingon sa pinanggalingan, ay hindi makakarating sa paroroonan."
I dont find any similarites between the two languages. There maybe some words that are pronounced the same and means the same in both languages but thats about it.
