So Joe gave a 50/50 split but he wanted more when Jones was on top? That makes sense.

What does Jones have to do with this? As usual you're obsession with Calzaghe forces you to delve deep to discredit him yet you cant comment when you get exposed as a hypocrite.

And I read the quote. Have fun posting it all over NSB as if its means something. Hahaha your life's work and no one cares.
As usual you are an idiot.

My lifes work eh? That's why you have the shrine of Joe beating up old ass Jones' corpse in your signature like it means something. It's scary how gay you are for Joe.

Im a fan of Joe. Ive never said anything otherwise.

You have. Yet you dedicated the majority of your time on here to speaking about him. Which is why I continue to ask why. Your life's work goes into discrediting him. Whenever you're ready to justify that, let me know.

Calzaghe really is pathetic, i hope he comes back and fights a real fighter like Dawson and he gets his ass kicked
Calzaghe actually has a point but of course your hate blinds you.

Is it stronger as a sport than in 1995? NO. There's people who buy the pay-per-views, a pretty specific audience but as a sport it's definitely way weaker tha in 1991.

Fascinating. You continue to equate online message boards with real life. "Lifes work". You are deranged. You have a serious problem and should seek counseling.

Thanks, and fair enough. I remember Eubank saying exactly the same thing.

As for the quote itself, that's pretty much what happened - he got offered megabucks to fight in the US and did so. No point doing so otherwise as he could make good money in the UK. It happened 5 years too late sadly. I'd have picked him to beat the Jones of 2003 mind.

Too bad Calzaghe didn't share any of his fans' confidence.

He knew he could lose. So, should he have taken a more dangerous fight for a lot less money in the US for another fight for more money in the UK?

And what would Jones, Hopkins et al have done in the same situation?

Jones was the heavy underdog against James Toney p4p1.

Hopkins was the heavy underdog against Trinidad who was destroying everyone even at Middeweight. No one gave him a chance.

                    There is your answer.

He knew he'd lose but you still pick him to beat Roy back then?

He didn't say he'd knew he'd lose. You are making that up.

Trinidad? Really. A blown up Welter. Not even in his top 5 of wins.

Toney was Jones' coming of age. An excellent win even given the weight-drained nature of his opponent. However, he was not an established champion at the time.

Expecting Calzaghe to travel to the US for less than he would have made in the UK is nonsense. Nobody would do that. The hypocracy of the septics on this topic knows no bounds.
