UFC on the other hand is a full fledged organization with its own fighters competing against one another. They have PPVs literally every month. Also, when you look at how much Dana is paying these guys (Main eventer = $250k to show up, 250k to win), you almost have to laugh compared to what Boxers headlining a PPV get. Zuffa with WEC & UFC are making a killing not only here, but also over seas with the UK shows they've been doing since last year.

As I've said a trillion times...Apples & Oranges folks. Both can and will co-exist.
    good response..

1 - niether the UFC or boxing is folding or dieing anytime soon

2 - nobody in boxing can draw like oscar (not PBF, not manny, not hatton, nobody). boxing will miss him when he retires.

You got to keep in mind though that not many grapplers don't even get to see that kind of money, so their content with any large figure as long as they can live off it.

The numbers will get larger. Just be patient.

Boxing is a better place without people like Oscar around. I've never seen the kinda reaction like the reaction I saw from fans after the Floyd/Oscar fight. Alot of "mainstream" fans I talked to said that they'll never ever buy another PPV fight because the floyd/oscar fight was such a huge dissapointment. Imagine if those same mainstream fight fans bought Cotto/Margarito? Boxing would be on top of the world right now. Second, UFC aint going nowhere. Its popularity has steadily increased year after year for the last 5 years.

haha I remember reading that dream was gonna fold a few months ago.. hhey couldnt even pay a couple of their fighters because, financially, they were in trouble. I think it was Nick Diaz.

With that said, Dream will fold soon... ppl in Brasil like Soccer, not MMA. Holland Kickboxing

This has been said many times before, but MMA is a fad.

And as I said before, it's not going even close to a fad now because of many name grapplers who are involved or getting involved and the opportunity to make a steady living for grappling.

Sure, you'll probably see a shift in the casuals, but it'll have it's core. There's already following from the Big Ten and Pac-10 states. Places where wrestling and grappling florish.

Boxing will have another star. DLH made Floyd and Manny superstars, bigger than anyone in the UFC. Cotto has superstar potential if he can somehow get by Margarito. Pavlik was ready to be another crossover star until his fight with Hopkins. I don't see Arreola ever making it big in the US, or the heavyweight division. I don't think the UFC will fold. They have a good fanbase that continues to grow. They say boxing has a long history, well not compared to martial arts. As much as boxing fans would like to say MMA is aggressive snuggling or bar fighting, the guys are quite skilled. I just wish everyone would realize you don't have to choose sides, you can enjoy both.
