What's the difference between a chump and a bum?

I think the title is self explanatory.

A chump is someone who lays down for people. Who really won't amount to anything, but continues to be in the game and just gets beat up on. Almost like a palooka.


A bum is someone who has potential, but is lazy. Who doesn't want to work hard, or train hard, but wants the results. A bum is someone who gets the good fights, but sells himself short.
