In an interview with Mexican paper "El Tiempo" former World Challenger, Cesar Figueroa, claimed that Juan Manuel Lopez forced him to take a dive:
"Juanma hit me very hard in the head with a right hook, and that made be go unconscious and get knocked the **** out. If it weren't for that punch I would have had to the chance to beat him. That fight was very unfair. How is a sleeping man supposed to beat someone?"
