Montiel tends to do that...fight down to the level of his opponents. He shows up ready for the big opponents most of the time though. Plus, like that other poster said, Donaire didn't look so great in his last outing. I'm sure we can count on both fighters showing up ready for a very tough fight.

I got Montiel via close, but unanimous decision.

Though Donaire looked bad in his last fight it was his first fight after almost a year of inactivity.

And if he loses you'll be there to grace us with your knowledgeable excuses. That is guaranteed. Your version of a true Mexican. You ain't Mexican if you can't lose like a man right? Or give credit like one.

I'm sad Mijares doesn't get this shot . He could still probably beat Montiel too. I hope Mijares can get his way back into the picture.

I forgot to pick the winner I think it's a very winnable fight for both of them, but I'm leaning with Donaire. He HAS to throw down the middle and not trade with Montiel though. That's really his best shot. Montiel can not take shots down the middle for ****. People get ****** into trading with him and it takes away from it.

Z Gorres could have beat Montiel, which he was nowhere close to btw, if he had thrown his jab a lot more and more straights.

Then you should go for Donaire to make history repeats itself! anyway I go with Donaire for 11 or 12 rounds by TKO! Good match!

I agree, I'm so tired of hearing all these bs excuses about de la hoya being "shot" coming from biased pac haters like Freddie Roach. Everyone knows the only legitimate excuse for performing poorly in a fight is wearing bad socks.
