after hearing this, i have my doubts that de la hoya retires. he is simply too much of a cash cow for boxing in general. maybe he'll fight on at a higher weight.
I really doubt DLH can convince the public to shell out money to watch him fight again, this beating would have definitely taken something out of his marketability.
Ok...And to think some thought this wouldn't beat UFC's Lesnar-Coutoure's 850k PPV's...The biggest fight in MMA history does 850K but DLH-Pac does 1.5 yeah Boxing sure is feeling the threat of UFC huh?
