Do you respect fighters like David Diaz for not quitting on the stool? Or

Getting KO'd is also getting a Concussion...so they are saving themselves from that health problem.

I'm for fighters fighting until the end, but sometimes, it needs to be stopped to prevent a black-eye on the sport; say severe long-term damage and death.

I've seen fights when the Ref and the corner let it continue even though the Fighter is getting his ass kicked so bad and has little to nothing left. The corner won't stop it because it's their pride saying "no" and the ref won't stop it because the fighter hasn't been KTFO yet. The fighter, knowing his own body and mind, knowing his chances, elects to stop the fight because at the end of the day, he is the only one that truly cares about his health.

Now, If we want to accept a fight is over when a fighter is KTFO...and we can accept fighters dying is part of the sport and not a black-eye to the sport...then let's just say that and accept it. And tell the fighters, don't get into this sport if you are not willing to risk your health and life; there is no quitting in boxing; there is no reason to care about your health when you are getting paid to fight to the very end.

    So what do we want?

I have a feeling your roughly 16 years old, and have never been in a situation where you were being beaten to death, but given the option to be saved.
In regard to you other post, its laughable to assume they are quitting on the stool out of fear of the embarrassment that comes with being kayoed. Thats simply not it at all, quitting on your stool is more embarrassing to most than getting kayoed, its simply the smarter thing to do sometimes.
