How the hell does Pacman deserve more? you guys are nuts, Pacman got a career high payday against Oscar and that was 6 million dollars, Floyd made more than that against Carlos Baldomir for *** sake. He made 30 million against Oscar too. Floyd was generating more PPV's against Baldomir than Manny, when Manny was fighting Barrera or Morales or Marquez...

I think the fight generated something like $70m, so Pac should recieve an additional $22m.

DLH-Pacquiao did 1.25 million PPV Buys, Pacquiao got a guaranteed 6 million + PPV Cut from those 1.25 million buys.

DLH-Mayweather did 2.4 million PPV Buys, Mayweather got something like a guaranteed 14 million + PPV Cut from those 2.4 million buys.

Mayweather made 30 million total from the guaranteed $ + PPV Cuts, if you compare their PPV's DLH-Pacquiao did less than half of DLH-Mayweather so Pacquiao will probably get a lower cut from the PPV's.

What did Pacquiao-Marquez II did again? Yeah lower than Mayweather-Baldomir you cant compare pacquiao to mayweather in terms of PPV's bottom line

Pacman gets the higher portion of the purse.

for a few reasons:

A) he is the p4p champ of the world
B) floyd hasnt found since the end of 07 against hatton which means he hasnt shown much lately to prove he deserves a higher portion of pay
C) The fight is more important to floyd to recapture his top p4p status and crazy as it sounds floyd needs to fight pac more than pac needs to fight floyd...

challengers for a title (ring, p4p or ABC titles) shouldnt get priority in pay...

just like when floyd was the top of the p4p list and pacman was second...i'd say floyd gets the bigger portion because in that situation pac would need floyd more than floyd needed pac.

actually I change my answer to 65-35 for floyd now that I know the true ppv numbers. even 70-30 for floyd would be fair. floyd attracted double the ppv buys so that makes him the much bigger draw in the states.

If you include the Philippines then pac easily destroys mayweather when it comes to viewers but pac already has exclusive phillipino tv rights so if they ever do meet, the ppv buys should be split 65-35 or 70-30 floyd.

I think Pac should get more money cause he is staying active and fighting good opponents. Yeah Oscar is past hi8s prime but all you fools were like me and were posting how Oscar was picking on a smaller guy and how the fight wouldnt last 8 rounds.
well you were right but you chose the wrong winner just like I did. Plus Judging on equal competition pac ****ed up Oscar where Floyd simple beat him.
Pac is the current P4P king and Floyd isnt. He can come out of retirement and demand more money and the funny thing is that he probbly will get it too.
But that is the kind of fighter Manny is. He **** you up for peanuts just to prove a point.

I do not think HBO would give anyone 32% of thier total PPV revenue,it would be 32% after they take out all the expenses, overhead and other stuff (I would imagine anyways). HBO has to make thier money also and while some peopel think they run a ****ty business for boxing they do know how to make money on PPV.

Also they will not be able to draw Mayweather out of retirement with some ****ty offer, you need to keep that in mind. He is retired they need to compensate him to come back.

If Lennox Lewis came back (from a way longer layoff) do you not think he would get paid a huge ammount more then he ever made before to rematch Vitali or fight Wlad?

Pacquiao should. He's been the most dominant fighter, took out De La Hoya with ease and is number one Pound 4 Pound right now. Money Gay hasn't fought in a year and his performance against De La Hoya didn't even compare.
