He hasn't fought great physically, with all his tools, since Gatti. Which is why I don't enjoy watching him fight. He is frustrating.

That fight always annoys Hulk. How many welters would have destroyed that Gatti that night.
Clottey, Margherito, Cotto and Williams would possibly have actually killed him.
    Floyd is great.
Many fighters could have looked great against Gatti that night.

I think it was an average display even the casual fans that have never seen Floyd before were like i dont know what the fuss was about sure he is good but.
I agree though I thought the Hatton was one of his best in many years. Still, the signs of slipping are when it takes a little longer to warm up in a fight and Floyd has been exhibiting that more and more.

What did Freddie say; what did Floyd Sr. say.

I still haven't found which episode it was, but it was on ESPN...I think Ringside, when one of the Old Timers made a point: A fighter should have a fight at least every 3 months or he risks ring-rust...declining...whatever you want to call it. A fighter must fight and stay sharp.

        Listen to MiKE TYSON:

Start at .50 and pay attention to 1:42

Don King was known for messing up fighters because he kept them inactive.

        and:

Mike was a very active HW with Rooney/Cayton. With King...from Spinks to Bruno; about 8 months.

It's not what was in front of him, but what he was doing as far as his arsenal.

When did he start to fight as well?

he landed a check left hook against hatton, and this was floyd, not at his best. that goes to show you just how skillful he is, and he can still beat the top guys in his weight class, even out of his prime. floyd is the most fluent fighter of the last 4 decades. he is that good. he will hurt pacman also.

People forget Leonard got put on his ass by Kevin Howard before the Hagler fight...... and Howard was in the fight untill Ray caught up with him. Leonard did understimate Howard but it was Ray's timeing that was awful more than anything.

and lets not forget Hagler was no spring chicken either its not like Ray, nor Hagler were in their prime, Hagler had a tough fight with the hard punching Juan Roldan, then he beat Hamsho a guy he waxed with ease years ealier then came his wars with Hearns,Mugabi then he fought Leonard.

Majority of Floyds potential oponents are in their primes close to it....or they are active fighters that fight regularly.....so for me the Leonard v Hagler scenario is not compatible

Does anyone not just think Mayweather is resting his hands till a promoter comes up with a mega mega rich fight offer? I think his mind set is there is'nt really anyone worth fighting (risk takeing wise) that he needs to fight unless its super bucks. I think It might be Manny in 2010 if he beats Hatton, nobody else really, he won't fight Hatton again
