Fighters uve done a U turn on

For me the number 1 guy ive changed my mind about is Manny Pacquaio!
I really didnt like em, i thought he was over rated and one dimensional, he just irrated me the way he slammed his glove together! The first fight of his i saw was Sanchez which was just a mess, he got beat by Morales who i love but then has the Audacity to spank the aged great in rematches! He also got lucky IMO twice against JMM but id started warming to him by the 2nd fight.

I now realise he is the dogs Bollocks, a fighter who takes risks and the type of fighter that boxing needs more of! He also a cool guy

Another ive recently became a fan of is Paullie Mallinagi, i used to HATE him but now i think he cool and funny! But as a fighter he dont cut the mustard!

Lennox Lewis! I thought he was going to get Ko'd every time he faced a puncher! First by Andrew Golota, then Michael Grant, then David Tua, lose the rematch with Rahman, then Tyson, then Vitali, but hell he proved me wrong every time! A living legend!

I didn't much like Hopkins either, I thought he built up a reputation of stopping better pound for pound fighters from lower weight divisions like Trinidad and De La Hoya, then what does he do? Go up two weight divisions to outclass Tarver! Then after the Calzaghe defeat when were all writing him off as past his best he gives Kelly Pavlik a royal whipping. PLUS his best wins have all come post 40 years old, hes an inspiration!

David Haye: I'm probably going to fall into the Lennox Lewis trap again here! I tipped Enzo Macanerelli to beat him and felt he might possibly lose to Barratt ( he did look badly hurt after being fouled, that could have gone very badly! ). I'll probably expect him to lose to the Klitchkos, but if he does win.....he'll get my respect.

Clinton Woods is a U turn the other way, I always admired his gritty never say die style, his bravery in coming back after the humiliating Jones defeat, the wars with Johnson ( the last one almost moved me to tears I was so chuffed that he won after taking so much punishment! ). Then he gives next to nothing against Tarver, a real no show!!!!

Jermaine Taylor is one I keep changing my mind on, great coming through the ranks, took loads of punishment but still decisioned Hopkins twice, looked terrific against Winky and should have got the decision IMO, then went to sleep against Spinks, lost his way against Pavlik twice. Then is nearly punch perfect against Lacy! Go figure!?!

Amir Khan, hated the way the english build'ed him up and it was
so obvious he was going to get KO'ed, Michael Gomez knocked
him down and nearly out. Willie Limond never had any punching
power and he knocked him down.
So i put 10 quid on prescott to win by KO, got 8 to 1 odds.
But he was graceful in defeat, went with roach, looked so much
better than before at the weekend against ***an and the english
fans have calmed down about him, thats my u-turn

Manny Pacquiao... I thought he was a one armed, no skill brawler at first, but...

My god, he is easily the best fighter in the sport right now... hands down.

Joan Guzman and Floyd Mayweather are the best examples of guys I completely turned around on. I didn't like either of them at first, Floyd ever since Chico. Guzman because his fans really turned me off to him hyping him up before he had even fought Soto.

Now I'm big supporters of both guys, both of them are slick cats.

Hopkins. Said some ludicrous stuff pre Calzaghe, mostly ******, offensive and annoying. White guy stuff, the anti euro fighter comments, moaning about his treatment in the UK, when really it was just cold and he was being a wingey *****. Fouled a lot in the past, and did in this match, didn't lose gracefully and dis respected his opponent even post fight. Really disliked the guy and in some ways still do.

His behaviour was totally different leading up to Pavlik. He was respectful to Kelly, didn't say too many dis respectful things to him or the press whom were doubting him. Persevered, trained hard, analysed his opponent, executed a fantastic game plan to show he still is an immensley talented fighter and tactician. His staring out of the press, helping some needy people, showing an emotional side, telling Roy to respectfully retire and won't face him. Still got some criticisms, but have to be impressed with those things so have done a big u turn all in all. Incredible man and boxer, we really won't know what we've got in him until he's left.
