Pacquiao-De La Hoya made Mayweather-Hatton look like a real close fight. That's how one-sided it was.

Mayweather-Hatton was also a more meaningful matchup as it had two undefeated champs, both on the p4p rankings, both in or pretty close to their primes, linear champs one division apart.

PBF-Hatton was the better fight with the better ending.

for boxing '08 was the better ending.

the fight wasn't great but look what it set up.

because of pac's win there's talk of hatton-pac and floyd coming out of retirement.

If De La Hoya is gay.. then what the hell is Vargas for losing to him?

The ending of the Hatton fight was just too classic, also the fight was at least marginally competitive.
