Pinoys: Stop being ****heads.

Pacquiao is extremely popular. He has a very pleasing explosive style, he has a great deal of skill and he comes off as being a super nice guy. He started life selling stolen cigarettes to become one of the most popular guys in his own country and he is the best boxer in the world right now bar none.

He has a great record, with wins over Marquez, Barrera, Morales, Diaz and De La Hoya. He is an all time great in the making.

But all this "pown" talk is misplaced. Threads like "For all the HATERS" are ridiculous. Who on earth are they addressed to? Sure a lot of people thought very sensibly that De La Hoya would be far too big, but I don't know of any one single person who wanted Oscar to win. And all the **** talking about prospective opponents is tiresome and unnecessary.

This isn't addressed to every Filipino on NSB but there are a lot of posters, many of whom are brand new, who need to get a sense of perspective and grow the fuck up.

Don't put pinoys in your thread..... Majority of them are not pinoy....

Nobody had any time to hate Pacquiao because of all the hate for Calzaghe... Seriously few people even mentioned Pac, certainly not negatively. Apart from, and I'd like to make this clear, apart from to pick De La Hoya against him. Which doesn't constitute hate. I'd pick prime Mike Tyson to KO Oprah Winfrey. Does that mean I hate Oprah?

I usually make a thread with a similar subject, depending on my level of irritation. What makes this situation particularly galling is that 90% of these topics come from people who never posted on here before. I don't mind if people who made an unpopular pick before the fight come back to bask in glory for a couple of days. By making a prediction you automatically gamble your credibility knowing full well that if you're wrong you will be called on it and the wilder your prediction the more called on it you will be.

This situation is different. You have posters who didn't say **** for weeks before the fight who are now laying the pown because their guy won. Where were you when he was the underdog?

Pinoys are friendly, easy-going and reasonable people. We can take it as well as dish it out. This is not a perfect world. And since haters and “****heads” will always be out there, expect similar replies from nuthugging “****heads” as well.

i dont think there is anything wrong about being exited and giddy after their favorite fighter just defied all the odds. i know its over the limit at times but i think its backlash due to what they had read in the forums before the fight
