Juanma falling in love with his power?

Juanma was uncharacteristically aggressive Saturday night.

Yes he KOd DeLeon in one round, but he did that by backing up and he countered a faint that DeLeon threw. Then vs Figueroa he was patient also and just crushed Figueroa with the first show. Juanma has always been a very patient fighter, except the Mendez fight years ago (man that was an ugly fight)

Saturday Juanma went right at Medina and started unloading shots. I am getting the feeling Juanma is falling in love with his power and is going to start being more agressive. I don't want to see that, id rather see him stay the same patient fighter.

Cotto went through the same thing recently in his career, he was an excellent boxer-puncher and then he scored some good KOs and fell in love with his power and became more agressive. Recently he has been showing his boxing skills more though.

Probably because he knew Medina was a sitting goose. With Vazquez, he'd probably be a lot more cautious.

I hope so cause he left himself open for some big shots Saturday but luckily Medina couldn't capitalize....Vazquez could.

Juanma vs Vazquez needs to happen. If Juanma fights like his normal self I think that he can take it.

Medina fought like a tiny Audley Embarrassin'

He might as well have got him out of there in round. Medina wasn't going to be doing any fighting that was for sure.

There is a thread ripping Batista but I bet they wish they threw him in there against Lopez instead of that horrific 8 rounder against a good journeyman, now at least that kid would have went balls out and got comprehensively knocked out in spectacular fashion.

What happens if hes in a figh against Vazquez? Will he let being in a huge fight against an opponent on that level get to his head and make him uncharacteristically aggressive? He needs to control himself.

I just hope he doesnt start getting wreckless, he has excellent boxing skills and needs to use them. The power is there and the KOs will come just like they always have.

He's under a lot of pressure right now. After years of fighting for pennies, he's got the title, got some big fights that can be made. Got the approval of Trinidad Sr. and Jr. as well as PR. So he is gonna make some mistakes due to the pressure. But its like when Cotto fought Gomez, he knew his opponent was no match so he delievered big time. I want to see him in there with an opponent with a pulse tho and would love to see him fight Caballero in the future before a fight with Vazquez
