It's a interesting possibility isn't it? You could get the steroid dianabol perfectly legally on prescriptions in the sixties and seventies.Also there was no great public stigma attached to taking them.He might have received them ,for all we know,by his doctor to help his lower back heal quicker after he blew it doing good mornings in 70/71.

Even if he did,what of it? A steroid is an artificial version of male hormone testosterone.No big deal taking them.

Many athletes take Aspirin and lots of it. It thins out the blood as well as helps with inflammation.

The side effects of Aspirin are just that: Stomach problems and internal bleeding.
