And, I wonder during the training if she mentioned he was to thin.

        Compare with:

Hmmm, yes. In that fight, he was actually solid, defined and well muscled still, whereas against Pac he had the body of a wasted, sick looking old man. Skin that looked too large for his frame and his arms were so thin and had no muscle definition whatsoever. It was really quite sad to see. I really hope this makes him retire.

He doesn't have any hope of ever beating anyone even slightly decent anymore (any top rated contender) and that fight showed, quite simply, that he has become just one more fighter in the league of fighters that have fought on too long and just had nothing left to give at all. It's very sad seeing a once great fighter struggling to put together anything, looking frail, weak and just pathetic, to be brutally honest.

There were obviously a few people who knew that Oscar was going to look terrible, especially trying to come down to a weight he hasn't been able to make in over ten years and already being over the hill and close to done. Freddie being one of the most obvious having trained him. He, more than anyone, would have known that Oscar probably didn't have much of a chance and was going to come in looking that bad, but, the only thing is not very many other people had any idea that he would look so shockingly shot. It's kind of like seeing Morales' last fights all over again. One fight doing well, though obviously far from his best, and the next having no balance, no power, no legs, no chin, not throwing anything or being able to pull the trigger and just looking plain pathetic. I hate seeing this type of thing. It's depressing.

It seems such an odd thing to look at a fighter struggling to throw even one punch or flailing about with no balance and legs at all and then watching him put on stunning exhibitions of fighting years previously. It just doesn't seem possible that it could be the same person doing it. There is nothing sadder in sport than the shot, old fighter.
