How will Mexicans view Oscar when it is all said and done?

Depends on who you ask i guess, some mexicans will always view him as a sellout that beat chavez, some will remember him as an overrated fighter who lost most of his big fights, or others like myself will remember him as a fighter who won in 6 divisions, and was the most marketable fighter in the late 90s till 2008 (if his fight with pac was his last).

I guess so, although I think more Mexicans think of him as a sellout/loser than what you think of him.

as for myself i just disapointed in de la hoya.... i mean he was the 1 that wanted this fight. and after seeing this fight.... am was just shocked.... speechless....... oscar didnt do ****.......... omg..... am just ****in speechlessssssssss

i went to mexico to see this fight but we didnt get to see it cause the satlite ****ed up so we didnt see hbo... we saw some fights on 'televisa' with this good flyweight 'chango' vargas in d.f. for the intrem wbo title.

People are haters. Instead of being proud of oscar for all he accomplished people say he aint mexican. Whenever these mofo's see someone who is more successful and "better looking" than them they start talkin' ****. I notice this a lot, even among my friends and some family members. They say Chavez never quit and the little respect they had for Oscar has vanished with his last outing with Manny (because he quit).
