A sad end to the fighter I once knew......

I would have bever imagined the sequence of events that i witnessed on Saturday night. Perhaps i was still thinkin this was Oscar of yesteryear, an Oscar who in his prime was vicious and gave his all. Last night was sad to watch, Oscar was unable to do anything at all, gone were the legs, speed, and most importantly, HIS will!

As a fan of Oscar since the beginning, nothing will change the fact that I will always be a fan. The end of the road is sometimes hard for both Fighter and fan.......

I know where you're coming from. I remember getting the Chavez vs DLH II PPV ten years ago and thinking no way will DLH be around getting beat up by younger fighters.

Oscar just didn't know when to leave the sport. I think he should have retired after the Mayorga fight.

I don't think so, he wanted to go out better than that. Inactivity was DLH downfall. If he wanted to continue fighting after the Mayweather fight, he shouldn't have left it another year for his next fight.

I agree and I don't feel sorry for DLH, he wanted the BIG NAME fight and he could have retired a long ago.

Yes, inactivity was the downfall. The moment he decided to take long ass breaks and fight once a yr, that was teh beginning of teh end . He just didn't have anymore like when he was younger and hungrier. I never would have thought that Oscar would deteriorate the way he did, it was sad to see that.

Still cant believe how physically weak he was on Sat. He would have had brain damage if fighting a true WW on that night.
