he can fight jmm tho or erik morales when the latter unretires himself.
......can someone refresh my memory as to when the last time Joan fought at 126? dude cant even make 135 these days.

They can pick whatever weight they want, between 140 and 147. 143-4 is fine.

We arent allowed to do that here, its against the law, and if you know the olympics, you know full well most of those guys are between the ages of 19-34, it varies from fighter to fighter. I think thats a bad comparison, especially when mayweather was fighting "men" as soon as he humanly could. I also remember talk of when people felt top rank was rushing mayweather and could potentially ruin him with their tough matchmaking. Its different when you know a fighters ENTIRE career, there are ups and downs, lulls and triumphs, you cant just paint someone with one brush and call it quits.

I'd like to see a Pacman/Mayweather mega-fight. It will be an exciting match-up. JAT

He might fight Hatton at 140, but not Manny. By the time Floyd comes back it will have been a long time since he fought at 140, and he won't take a chance of weakening himself. I definitely think this fight would happen at 147.

If it happens at 147 it will be because Bob Arum believes Manny has the best chance there, at 140, Floyd would be lighter of foot and Arum definitely wouldnt want an even fleetier footed Mayweather. At 147 Arum, because of last night would believe Pac carries his power at 147 and would have a better chance, so I can see it being at 147, now even moreso than at 140. Great input guys, but youre right definitely at 140 for Hatton.

Oh, just cus Mayweather considers himself the greatest, maybe greater than ALI, he can pick and choose whomever he wants to fight?

He's gotta go through some people first.
Margarito is the true Welterweight right? A legitimate 147 pounder who fought there his entire career right. Floyd is a part-time fighter and not even a real welter right? So what Margarito should do is go fight some real Welterweight contenders........Like Paul Williams who already beat him the first time.

Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather is what's hot right now. A P4P matchup between two multi-division champions.

Actually just under 2 yrs, 11 mo, but whose counting. The only person to ever come back after 4 years without a tuneup fight to win a title was Vitali.
