DLH was good for boxing and had a great career...
sure he lost to Hopkins, Mayweather, Tito, Manny, Shane Mosley. But he beat a bunch of other good fighters. And plus, losing to Hopkins and Mayweather is nothing to be ashamed of. Hopkins is a legend and he was way bigger. Mayweather is easily one of the top 3 best fighters of the last 18-20 years. And no one is beating Floyd until he goes past the age of 32, then they might get him.IMO.
Also, he got screwed out of the 2nd mosley fight and Tito. So considering that, hes done very well. Oscar is a class act, and has been good for a sport with a not so classy image. I'm not sure that boxing is in a better place now that DLH is gone, he was like the Tiger Woods of boxing. Also, Oscar was usually fun to watch, its not like he was a boring fighter. His fight with Vargas is one of my favorites. But just like everything, all things come to an end eventually.
I think you could make the argument that he is an ATG, and also make the argument that he is not.
I think he'll be remembered in a good way 20 years from now...
