You really believe floyd would beat Pac-Man? Even after the long lay off? Honestly I wouldn't be suprised if Manny KO'd floyd. Dont' get me wrong I think Floyd would have beaten the breaks off of Manny back when he was active and still hungry. However after the long layoff and the way Manny has developed I don't think Floyd stands a chance. We all have to remember that the time away from the ring isn't going to help Floyd. Hatton at 140 is the dominate champ and if Manny gets past him there is no other fight out there for him other than a match up with Floyd. I'm not saying there aren't other fights available to the Pac-man. Just that no other fight would cement his legacy as a victory over Floyd Mayweather would.Comment

lol.. Floyd hasnt been gone long, maybe 6-7 months.. thats nothing! You really believe floyd would beat Pac-Man? Even after the long lay off? Honestly I wouldn't be suprised if Manny KO'd floyd. After beating De La Hoya, by man slaughter, I dont see why he should move down in weight. Stay at Welterweight and fight the best there. Hattons not going to beat Pacman, he should test himself against the best like Mayweather.Comment

right.. i think only certain fights at welter would make sense like the Floyd fight, maybe Hatton (or at 140), maybe Cotto
theres a whooooooooole lot of big $$$$ fights at welter for himComment

I could have swore Floyd's last fight was December 8th, 2007 that sir is a couple days short of a year. With Manny facing Hatton in the next 3-6 months that would put a possible mega fight with Mayweather on hold till late 2009. If you do the math that would put Mayweather really close to 2 years since stepping into the ring. Floyd's already made it clear its all about the benjamins and I don't see him rolling out of bed at 4 a.m. to train for a tune up.Comment

+ 1. I think Floyd would rather fight cotto, Marg, or even hatton again before fighting a warrior like Pac-Man. I am beyond impressed after watching him fight last night, even if DLH is washed up.

your math is correct.... but he just retired in Jun 2008... meaning he was still active as far as fighting, training, etc.I could have swore Floyd's last fight was December 8th, 2007 that sir is a couple days short of a year.
