Pacquiao and Khan Give Roach a Double Celebration

Britain’s promising Amir Khan who won a silver medal at the Athens Olympics in 2004 and sparred with Filipino ring icon Manny Pacquiao at the Wild Card Gym of celebrated two-time “Trainer of the Year” Freddie Roach clearly benefited from the weeks of training in Los Angeles and put on an impressive to demolish Oisin ***an in two rounds at the Exel Arena in London a few hours before Pacquiao crushed Oscar De La Hoya in Las Vegas. No way Pac fights Margarito, Cotto, or Williams. This fight was only at 147 to fight DeLahoya.

Pac will take a chance with Floyd, not Cotto, Margarito or WIlliams. Too big for Pac. De La Hoya was also big, but he does not have the strength that Cotto, Margs or Willaims have.

Floyd would be a possibility if he came out of retirement. The other Welterweights NO WAY.

Also, Roach made it clear that the reason he thought Pacquiao would beat de La Hoya is that roach thought (rightly as it turns out) that dlh "can't pull the trigger any more", i.e. that he's shot. Cotto, Margarito or WIlliams are far from being shot, so I doubt very much whether Roach would want Pacquiao to fight any of them.

Khan is in very good hands. Roach will take the kid to the top. No doubt about it.
