Anyone feel Manny carried Oscar that final round??

It looked to me DLH was done at the start of the 7th round where Pac waxed his ass taking a 10-8 round, then in round 8 DLH looked like a dead man walking and Pac would look at him kind of like a cat plays with a wounded mouse, not going for the finish until maybe the last 10 seconds of the 8th round.

I really think Pac held back in that 8th round, I also think the stoppage was good. Oscar could have been seriously hurt if that fight was allowed to continue.

i dont think manny outright carried him but there were a few times in that round where he backed off a little and could have kept attacking

yeah, if that fight kept going on oscar would have been badly busted up, even worse than he already is

a few times where manny was unloading while de la hoya was in the corner you could see oscar leaning on the turnbuckle/ropes and if he didnt have the ropes to lean on he would have gone down

The reaqson why manny was backing out was, he was still very careful that oscar might fire back anytime...

There was an instance when Oscar was groping for the ropes, was it in the 5th? Or the 6th? Oscar was a goner in the 7th, he wasn't even sure if he wants to go out in the 8th...
