Is Pacquiao/Hatton a pointless fight for Pacquiao?

I don't see why it would be pointless, Hatton in the linear 140 champion, Pacquiao can become a linear champion in another weight division.

Not to mention the fact that this is probably the biggest fight out there, for both fighters financially, even if Mayweather is still around.

Hatton would have looked good against De La Hoya tonight. He had nothing to give.

Hatton vs Pac is the biggest fight in boxing. Maybe not in terms of money compared to Mayweather. But I would rather see a fight, than Mayweather throwing one punch and running.

The predictions on these forums are almost always wrong. These idiots tend to over hype a fighter with just one fight. Before this fight tonight, few would be saying Hatton was a push over to Pacquiao. Now all of a sudden Pacquiao beats a shot and terrible looking De la hoya and Hatton has no chance.

Total and complete bull****. Regardless of the outcome of Pacquiao vs Hatton. Hatton will be a much more formidable threat than Oscar was tonight.

Boxing works in funny ways, I wouldn't be suprised to see Hatton white-washing Pacquiao.

Who ever wins will go up against Floyd or JMM though.
