First of all, let me say....
1. I wanted Manny to win.
2. Oscar pissed me off going even making this fight.
3. Oscar's obsession with making money gets on nerves.
4. The idea of a DLH vs Hatton fight was one I really could not stomach.
5. Pac's performance was the only kind which could actually have made me become involved in the fight.
But...but...
I'm sad. It was kinda like watching RJJ against Calzaghe. Or Ali against Holmes. SRL against Norris, etc..
And maybe there's a poetic justice considering Oscar beat old Chavez.
But still, seeing DLH get beat the **** up by someone he really shouldn't have...it became painful by the end.
He's a good guy, essentially, despite his money grubbing ways. He's kept our sport in the spotlight, he's a good ambassador for the sport, and at his best, he was a HOFer.
So I'm sad. I know everyone think he deserves it but something about watching fighters get old during fights and lose that..something...
It's hard to watch.
