See,this is the problem with boxing today.You see an absolute classic,two fighters trying desperately to knock each other out with every shot,they both show heart and commitment,not to mention granite chins,and what thanks do they get the next day? A bunch of muggy no-mark *******s that think they know a bit about boxing saying,"taylor-kessler would murder them!".Neither taylor or Kessler have been in a fight like that,and if they had,how the **** can anyone assume they would be able to handle it! From what we have seen of Taylor,I reckon he would wilt in a battle like that.show some fcuking respect,and show some fcuking gratitude.Experts my ARSE!

Because there are other fighters out there worth looking at instead of asking for calzaghe for ****ing 4 years. The fight was good last night but i think Froch performance was eh...ok but and i wonder what would he be like if he fought Kessler, taylor etc. Fair play to him for winning.

And how many of them brings a big payday, Big world/domestic recognition attraction like a Joe calzaghe fight???

He has ALL the right to call Joe out if he wants, Am all for fighting other guys but you target the big guys ALL the time, Thats the way boxing works..

Calzaghe beat the best fighter in the division, Kessler, with ease. If Froch was serious about trying to tempt Calzaghe he would have fought Kessler, not Pascal. Why would Calzaghe want to fight Froch at this stage of his career, when Froch hasn't beaten a single elite fighter yet? Froch calling out Calzaghe while completely ignoring Kessler just makes him look like an arrogant loudmouth. Of course he has the *right* to call out anyone, even Vitali Klitchko if he wants, but it just makes him look childish when he keeps calling out Calzaghe. If he wants to be respected, he should be calling out Kessler at this stage, not Calzaghe.

Comments like this get your knowledge of the sport questioned.

Battles like that don't just happen... the fighters let them happen.

A slugfest is to Froch's advantage because he is the slower but stronger man... toe to toe exchanges favor his style.

Pascal got drawn into a fight that didn't suit his strenghs... the main one being his speed. Pascal being the faster man would've been better served to pick his shots carefully, set up combinations using a jab, and relying on his defense whenever Carl pushed the action, and his jab to keep Carl at bay.

Instead Pascal showed zero jab when he needed to, was drawn into brutal exchanges with a bigger, stronger man, and kept his hands down the entire fight.

Carl was marginally smarter in that he developed a quick snapping jab in the later rounds which is what won him the fight. He still did not cover his face, allowing Pascal to land flush shots whenever he got the energy to do so.

Now, back to your original claim that Taylor nor Kessler have been in a battle like that... they're both too smart and too skilled to get drawn into such a sloppy game of "you hit me, I'll hit you, repeat." Boxing is as much about defense as offense, and it doesn't take an "expert" to figure that much out.
