Oscar by late stoppage. The size difference( let alone skill level) will be quickly apparent from the first round. I see Manny being at the end of Oscar's power shots and controlled by his left jab at long range, and i don't think Manny can weather that storm for long. Too much is too much. I think his left hook over Manny's reaching right jab could be the fight ending blow.Comment

I've seen alotta fights. I started watching boxing back when Big George began his comeback...Since then, I've seen over 2500 fights, easily. It's a matter of styles, you see.
Anyone who really thinks Paciauo can not only penetrate/nullify Oscar's left jab, which, by the way is the best in the welterweight business; is up for a serious suprise, as Paciauo would have to run from Oscar and make him work to win this bout. Paciauo is a seek and destroy one trick pony. Sure, he's developed a jab, but it's a B class jab, Oscar's is a AAA class jab.
Paciauo got knocked out early in the third round against a BUM in his early career. Only time Oscar ever got KO'd was from a picture perfect liver shot, thrown by a guy who should've been a surgeon in Bernard Hopkins, for his knowing where to deliver his power to human anatomy.
I love both guys, but unfortunately this is one of those fights that only comes around once or twice a year that you put 1/4th of what you're worth on.
Oscar De La Hoya by 8th round TKO referee stoppage.Last edited by Flicker Jab; 12-06-2008, 08:41 PM.Comment
