I give advertising for this fight a A+

Today i went to the corner store and saw that spanish newspapers had the fight on its front cover. In our local newspaper it had a nice picture of the fight poster, i would say 6 inches by 4 inches. Then with all the commercials and advertisements on sports websites, usatoday.com as of yesterday if you clicked sports, it would take you to an ad page showing the fight poster.

At first i was really against this fight but i think it should be good. It looks like America is really into this fight. My high school which is composed of a bunch of ufc fans even brought this fight up, so the advertising got to them as well.

I think the minimum this fight does is 1.2 million buys.

Spanish radio stations have been pluggin it like crazy. The radio is on and it must've been mentioned about 5 times the past 15 minutes.

i'd give oscar a round of applause for the advertising, and the amount of times it was played on channels.

I dont believe much of that affects ppv buys. IMO its an excuse. I read an article and there was a study that with a recession, the last thing people stop spending on is sports and sport recreational activities. Obviously there is going to be lower numbers than if there wasnt a recession, but i dont think it will take that big a hit. Maybe just a couple a hundred thousand less buys

I agree that they have advertised the hell of this fight. With the way PPV's were going and the economy I thought this fight would only do around 750k. After the past few days theres no doubt in my mind it does anywhere from 1.3ish to 2 million buys.
