So last night we had a boxing match about 15 miles from the undisputed champs hometown...... little did i know that tonight was an amateur boxing card / dinner reception with the champ as the special guest
I get there and the ring isnt fully set up... i ask someone why it isnt and they reply, "cause ________ is gonna be speaking to the crowd"...... im like, oh ok. I had seen his face on posters around the building but didnt figure he'd actually be here.
So on a big screen not too far back from the ring there replaying his premiere fight from 07 w/ ________. In between rounds him and his trainer are giving commentary. 2007 was a big year for him.... he fought 3 times against top ranked opponents who had never been knocked out. All were knocked out by this guy.
After the replays over they ask him all kinds of questions like his thoughts on tonights fight.... but i was so far back i could barely hear. So anyways.... around the ring they have a barrier set up and inside are the VIP tables..... so when i brought up a glove to get autographed i didnt know autographs were only for VIP members... so im like thats gay as fuck.
But being the down to earth type of guy he is, he decides to hold a session for all the people not in VIP..... real cool guy. I finally get up there and dude is all Affliction'd up... from the jacket to shirt to jeans to boots.... had be at least a $800 fit.... you know how expense that **** is
So hes real cool... although he was only suppose to sign one autograph per person he signs my gloves and the event flier with my name on the bout sheet.... probably one of the most down to earth boxing champions you'll ever come across.
My fight went well.... they had some of the finest ring card girls i'd ever seen at a am boxing match
... they were bad, no lie. Toward the end of the night i happen to be in the back and caught the champ leaving..... luckily someone from my gym was there with a camera and i got a pic with him..... he meeted and greeted with anyone wanting to, didnt turn anyone down.... took a few more pics got in a limo and was off.
so.....
who is the champ???
shouldn't be too hard to figure out... im bout to eat breakfast..... i'll be back with the answer.
