Pacquiao vs. De La Hoya: The Pre-Fight Report Card

By Cliff Rold - How old is Oscar De La Hoya?

It’s the question at the heart of this weekend’s major Boxing event. The calendar says he’s 35 but, in Boxing, age is not determined just by the calendar. Bernard Hopkins can at 43 fight like a fan half his age while a Fernando Vargas can be twice his age in ring years by 30. If De La Hoya’s 35 is closer to Carlos Monzon’s than it is Ray Leonard’s, can he lose? [details]

I'll watch the fight and let everyone know... I hope I'm wrong by the way. I hope that Oscar shows up strong, Pac can take the left anyways, and we get a classic which gives us the modern Armstrong Boxing needs.

Why do they keep saying Manny's speed will be a factor in this fight? He didn't look so fast in his fight with Diaz at 135. He only looked good in that fight cause Diaz is a punching bag. Manny's jumping a whole weight class for this fight, he's gonna be sluggish. Plus, if DLH was able to land on PBF, he'll be able to tag Pacquiao easily. Roach throws in the towel after an 8 or 9 round beating. DLH TKO 9.

pac man will never win, he couldnt handle marquez completely, now he thinks he has a chance vs oscar, no way, pac goes out in 4 to 6 rounds, just like a stronger mayorga did when mayorga thought he can square up and trade power with oscar, pacman will be hospitalized
