When I went to the press conference for Mayweather v. De La Hoya there where a lot of people there.. but looking at the crowed on the 24/7 when Oscar shows up to the MGM there was twice as much people.. and that wasn't even for the final press conference. Maybe I was wrong about this fight? Maybe people have been suckered yet again into buying this fight, like we all got suckered into buying Mayweather v. De La Hoya? I originally though it would only do about 800k but now I'm starting to question that.. Especially with all the press this fight has been getting. It's amazing how a win over Stevie Forbes puts Oscar back into play.. could you imagine how big this fight would have been if he fought Manny Pacquiao after Mayorga?

You're right and wrong. Most of the people, Mexicans, I know are actually rooting for Pacquiao. They don't really care for the "revenge" aspect of the fight, they just know that Pacquaio fights like they work. As a matter of fact, I will be watching the fight at one of my company's installers ( I now work for a carpet distribution company). The guy is an illegal alien and most of the other dudes who will be watching the fight with us are either naturalized citizens or resident aliens. Not one of them was born here in the states (total of around 7 dudes). Doesn't get any more Mexican than that.
