    Watch the fight.

Floyd won 8 rounds easily, was never in trouble and controlled the whole fight.
Get your head out of your ass.
those are some real ball riding claims right there..
I think I had it 7 to 5? Not sure, but Oscar was in the fight
and Mayweather didn't do anything to impressive to say he "completely dominated"
    De La Hoya.

Did we watch the same fight??? i agree that Floyd won but it was hardly "convincingly" it was a very close fight that DLH could have easily won had he kept using his jab but thats a whole another story.

But on topic yes it would hurt Floyd Mayweather because most of us question his resume all the time. So the few big fights that Floyd Mayweather Jr did have against big time fighters he needs for those fighters to remain as huge tough big time wins! If Pac beats both DLH and Hatton like i think he will do then all of a sudden May's big time wins dont look as great on his resume anymore because a former flyweight was able to beat the 2 "big time" welterweights that May beat. This wouldnt even be a concern for Mayweather (and you gotta know it is) if he had just taken care of business at 147 against Margarito, Cotto, and Williams. Nobody would have ever questioned his resume then...

maybe it just means pac is ATG and has nothing to do w/ floyd?

No i agree that Pac is an ATG and i also agree that Floyd Mayweather is an ATG. Its just its gonna have a huge defining impact on just how high of an ATG status both guys will have when both their careers are over. Unless of course Mayweather decides to comeback...

if pac beats DLH definitely Pac will be higher ATG because he came up from 106 lbs, but this has nothing to do with PBF and doesn't effect him in anyway.

No, a pacman win doesn't hurt his legacy. All it does is give him a chance to increase his legacy by coming out of retirement and spank Pacquiao around.

The only way Oscar losses this fight if he is completely shot.....I'm talking Ali vs Holmes shot. Against Mayweather, he was 2 years younger. Maybe things changed during those two years. He surely took a good bruising from Lil Stevie Forbes even though he won unaminously.
