so Oscar has made more money than Tyson now...

LAS VEGAS – Before he’d ever considered fighting Manny Pacquiao in what now is being billed as “The Dream Match,” Oscar De La Hoya had already accounted for more than a half-billion dollars of revenue from his previous 18 pay-per-view matches.

If the hype for De La Hoya-Pacquiao is an indication, boxing promotion might finally be entering the 21st century.

mike tyson made about $400 million... oscar has made more than $500 million and we can add another $100-150 million for his upcoming fights.

hmmm so that means oscar will be a billionaire in about 10 years. niccccccce

Oscar has made more money out of the ring than in the ring. Oscar is very close if not already a billionair right now.

Yeah sure, $500 million is a lot of money.

But this kind of money means nothing when you see Wall Street hedge fund guys earn between $700 million to over a billion in A SINGLE YEAR (during bull markets of course).

Nevertheless, Oscar is a businessman I don't think he will run out of money like Iron Mike.

                    Individual. Here's one example.

Ed Lamperts' earnings in 2004 were estimated to be $1.02 billion USD.

In 2006, His earnings were estimated to be from $1.0 billion to $1.5 billion USD.
