If Pacman was fighting Andre Berto I just don't see him winning. I think MOST boxing fans would agree with that (I may be wrong though). The "hype" is the ONLY reason people think Pacman has a chance. I admit the "hype" had even got to me for a second. But then I started thinking about how I felt when the fight was first talked about. Like most, I felt it was a total mismatch. It was all the MEDIA that made me think this fight could be a toss up. Kinda like the MEDIA made it look like Richard ***ell did the Olympic bombing back in the day. The media is a powerful tool! Once I thought about that, and how my opinion might be getting influenced, I started to compare pacman fighting other Welterweights. Thought of Marg, Williams, Cotto.....all were mis-matches in my mind. Then I thought to take it a step down and thought of Cintron, Clottey, and then Berto. I couldn't see him beating ANY of them! But now I'm suppose to believe he'll beat a Jr Middleweight? Hell, Marg had trouble with a Jr Middleweight! But I'm supposed to believe Pacman will beat one? Yeah right! He barely beat Marquez, and some think he didn't. I don't see Marquez beating Oscar. But someone who "barely" beat Marquez is supposed to beat him? In the famous words of Pootie Tang......."I have to say Duh Nay No my brother, on the supper tie " *wink*
Knowrisk: lets be real, pacman wouldn't beat berto. so how is he going to beat oscar?

If my thread title "bothered" you guys so much, why would you even reply? Its kinda like me complaining all day about a sitcom that I don't like. I'd rather just not WATCH it. Maybe that's just me being logical though. HmmmmComment

13 posts in 3 years. Interesting. I guess all the 24/7s are convincing some people that an almost 36 year old, 10 years past his peak at #1 p4p, fighting less than once a year for the last 4 years, severely weight drained making 147 for the first time in almost 8 years won't be at his very best. And that maybe the best fighter in the sport has the slimmest of chances.Comment
