Toughness and heart:
How tough is Lamon Brewster, clip

you mean talking all kinds of **** and then proceeding to quit on his stool like a ***** in the Klitschko rematch, that kind of toughness and heart?
all i see is a washed up punching bag right there -
Very tough, which is why I didn't criticize him (or his corner, not sure who called the fight off) for stopping the rematch against Klitschko. He has had a lot of tough fights, taken a lot of punishment and also had the eye injury, coming off a long layoff didn't help him either.
I'm not sure why Brewster continues to fight but good luck to him.
I think Meehan deserves a title shot or atleast a big fight against someone like Haye, he hasn't lost since 2004 and is at the end of his career.
There wasn't much trash-talking before the Klitschko-Brewster rematch from what I remember.you mean talking all kinds of **** and then proceeding to quit on his stool like a ***** in the Klitschko rematchComment

Lamon is so against trash talk, almost to a fault. He was upset when a press release came out where he said he was going to knock out Danny Batchelder. Nevermind that that was exactly what happened, but he wouldn't want to disrespect an opponent.
At the weigh-in for his last fight, Batchelder came up with a plan to throw him off his game plan. When they went to do the face-off, Batchelder went to hug him, expecting to infuriate Brewster. It backfired, Lamon embraced him right back as a show of his love and consideration of his opponent. He is truly a kind and gentle soul.Comment

Buddy McGirt pulled the plug on that fight. He said in the corner, "I know you're trying, it's just not in you tonight. I'm pulling the plug." He could have made a big show of it and did some Rocky exhibition like "One more round", but why? It wouldn't change anything, if the corner says they are going to stop the fight, they stop the fight.Very tough, which is why I didn't criticize him (or his corner, not sure who called the fight off) for stopping the rematch against Klitschko. He has had a lot of tough fights, taken a lot of punishment and also had the eye injury, coming off a long layoff didn't help him either.

Brewster has been burdened by inactivity throughout his career, before each Klitschko fight he had atleast a year inactivity. I'd like to see what happens when Lamon is coming off a few wins and staying active.
Remember, they're 1-1.Comment

Yeah Meehan and *****ko are #2 and 3 in the WBA
I want to see Taras step up and think that that'd be a great fight
Valuev and Chagaev... then the winner in the elimination between Kali and Taras get their shot against whoever comes out on top in the WBA then unify against one a the KlitschkosComment

Kali Meehan was robbed by the American judges. He should have won the WBO heavyweight title that night.Comment
