Why is it that everybody is so hard on the punisher?

Some of yall(Cotto and Margarito fans) still bring up the first quintana fight everytime Williams is mentioned against any good fighter. Yall always say "look at the first quintana fight, he got outboxed." big whoopie there. williams has looked 5 times better since then. who else since 1990 has gotten 3 KOs in a row in 3 different weight divisions. thats just sick. its not like he did it against complete bums, and before yall bring up kolle, that was at 160 and kolle was considered a fighter that would last a while and give williams rounds. some of yall complain that he slaps too much. he hasnt slapped in 3 fights. so thats been fixed. and guess what? he can go back to that style any time he wants if he needs to pull it out. the guy has a chin, he is humble, and gives entertaining fights. i dont see why yall margarito and cotto fans gotta judge the punisher on a different scale. ****, verno phillips would mop cintron. yuh you heard me. phillips would make cintron look silly as hell. ndou made cintron look average. ndou people. yall make it out like cintron was this great win for margarito. not that a cintron KO two times is bad, but the phillips KO was just as good if not more of an accomplishment. if yall want to hate, keep hating. i just want to know the reasons. i understand the williams nutthuggers get annoying but who cares. i still like margarito eventhough i cant stand marga******s. i can seperate the two. so whats up with all the hate for a fighter with the stature of hearns, in the stance of sweet pea, and kills the body like JCC? i

There are a couple of reasons.

1. Some of his "fans" act like he's Jesus Christ. That usually aggravates reasonable fans and non fans. As a reasonable fan, it pisses me off as well.

2. I think some of the Marg fans talk **** about him, not only for what I mentioned but for the fact that he beat Margarito and that he is Margaritos biggest threat. AND the fact that Paul lost to Quintana makes Margarito losing to Paul look worse, so what they try to do is say that Margarito had an off night and that Paul isnt that good. They refuse to entertain the possibitly that Paul may have had an off night against Quintana and also that styles make fights.

Some of the Cotto fans just dont like him cause they know that he would beat Cotto down badly and make him quit.

lol great avatar. lol. i think so too, but i dont like to throw it up in peoples faces. i'm fine with people saying he is the number 2 WW in the world that already beat the number 1 guy before. if you want to put him at number 1, thats fine too. the cotto win does hold a lot of weight. although, the rematch against cotto wont be as big a victory and might be easier. might be. it will get the winner the ring belt tho. after that, margarito might move up. we will never see williams get the credit he deserves at WW because no one will fight him.

maybe williams can fight clottey at 47 at the beginning of 09 since dzinzuruk wants the santos fight before the williams fight. williams vs dzinzuruk will be a slobberknocker.

Its a matter of opinion and how you look at it. Marg is being called the best welter in the world and Williams beat him. The argument is that Marg has not SIGNIFICANTLY improved since the Williams fight. Henceforth, they are calling him the best ww. Im undecided on this but im just explaining why some people say that.

that sounds about right.

1. thats obvious. some of my fellow punisher fans are just as bad as margarito fans.

2. its obvious williams had an off night. he came to the fight too heavy which means he tried to cut too much weight too close to the fight, and williams didnt spar with one southpaw in preparation for quintana. for the 2nd fight, williams main sparring partner was collazo, and then look happened. thats all i need to know. quintana might still do some big things with his career. he got another tune up although a harder one against ermosele on FNF in january. i think Q might give margs a good figtht if he boxes smartly. quintana got whooped by cotto cuz he thought he could outmuscle cotto. that was a bad mistake.

3. williams is a big threat to margs and cotto so some of their fans try to discredit williams to make it seem its not worth fighting williams anyways and williams would get mopped anyways. good point, deranged..
