Margarito lost to Santos. TWICE! Why would anyone fear him?

He shouldn't be underestimated but Quintanas performance showed that he can be out-boxed and out-boxing him is the way to beat him, which explains why a come forward pressure fighter in Margarito couldn't do it.
      Good post.

williams is also a 3 time champion and has had 3 KOs at 3 seperate weights in his last 3 fights, and has already fought the best (marg) at welterweight and beat him

a ko over Andy Kolle is something historic

i thought he is only a 2 time champion? lost his belt and won it back

he only won some interim belt against Phillips when there is already a real champion

While I think everyone from 147-154 should be wary of the punisher, the ts has a point. PW has lost, not by a miracle ko or dq (such as Lewis or Roy)while he was winning, but he got outboxed and beat in a 12 rounder. To his credit he avenged it like a muth***a, but the point is he is beatable with the right strategy, even by an above average ww such as quintana. Its not like tis dude is some crazy force that cant be beat, he is just a damw good fighter with the unique ability to jump weight classes (although i doubt he can have a serious impact on MW).

the only reason williams is able to jump weight classes is because 154 is one of the weakest divisions in all of boxing and at 160 he only fights bums. when pavlik stepped up to him and told him to sign the contract he ran asking for more money as an excuse to duck. this man is no real fighter.

Margarito lost to a few less than par fighters as well. So what's your fucking point?

What a **** thread. We don't need any more fucking trolls around here.

By this logic, why would anyone fear Margarito since he lost to some guy named Rodney Jones?
