    Hopkins - Echoles II

Just finished watching it for the third time..! That's a streetfight! Those two just doesn't like each other.

Bodyslams, knockdown by hit behind the head, puches after the bell and after the ref tells'em to stop..

A third fight would have been great ..!

Echols and Robert Allen were the bane of B-Hops existance at one point. And here we all thought Keith Holmes and Joppy would be! Charles Brewer>>Echols anyway..

True. That was a statement fight by Hopkins because he already proved - in the first fight - that he could outbox Echols handily.

BTW, I thought Hops took A LOT out of Echols in that rematch. A LOT.

Echols landed a monster right hand (I believe) uppercut late in that fight which completely proved to me that Hopkins has a stout chin.

          Very entertaining fight though.

echols was never the same after fighting hopkins, especially in there rematch, echols came in good, but after the 4th round you could tell that echols wasn't really holding his **** together.........

echols career took a serious nose dive after those fights with hopkins.............

Have you seen this Brewer-Echols? I knew Echols won TKO 3, but I've heard that stoppage is iffy and I know Brewer knocked him down twice before.

It would have been very unneccesary though. I'm not even sure why they had a rematch, the first fight wasn't very close. It was certainly closer then the second one, but I think it was still like 9-3 or 10-2 Bhop.

The first fight is just as good as the second. The second is one of my favorite Bhop fights, but the first fight is great. Round 5 is such a good round. Bhop, according to Compubox, lands 27/28 punches!! Pretty inaccurate, but still incredible stat.
