man David Tua was a badass!!

I never even realized it lol. Ive been watching some of his old fight lately and damn man, the guy was just a bad muther ***er I dont know how else to say it lol.

He almost killed John Ruiz in just 30 seconds of the first round. Ruiz was and has proven himself as a legit top heavy.

Then he destroys Michael Moorer in 1 round and knocked him through the ropes.

The loss too Ibeabuchi was an amazing fight too.

I mean this guys got knockout wins over people like Moorer, Ruiz, Rahman, Maskaev, Fres Oquendo. I never realized all the good people he beat.

Hes fun to watch too.

Hell yeah David Tua was a badass. It's a shame he doesn't get big fights anymore...he was one of my favorite heavyweights growing up. Whenever Tua fought you were almost guaranteed a spectacle.

dam he never won a belt? He beat some very good fighters who have held belts too. Bad luck I guess.

Winning a belt really doesn't mean much anymore. Tua lost his only World title fight being shutdown by Lennox Lewis. Rahman outboxed Tua in both their fights and his KO of Rahman was bogus (should've been DQ'd for his blatant late punch after the 9th rd bell tolled) He was then given a gift draw against Rahman in the rematch. That was the best we ever saw Rahman and almost the worst we ever saw Tua. His 19sec demolition of Ruiz will always make him one of my favorite fighters to watch. His bout with Ike Ibeabuchi was a classic for the ages, but it showed the limitation of Tua's style, thus making him vulnerable to Lewis. His management torpedoed his career with is a GIANT travesty, and David still has a mild chance to be something in this "era" if he takes more than a mild interest in his training and conditioning.
