Which is worse: Floyd "ducking" Margarito OR Margarito "ducking" Williams?!?

I put quotes on both to make it objective. Vote and Discuss. Poll to Come

    My own take:

I don't think Mayweather was too out of line. The man is rather small to contend with the top, full-size welters like Clottey, Margarito and Williams. He had other lucrative options, like actually winning a title from Baldomir, and money-making fights with Judah (who was a very interesting matchup at the time and proved to be a difficult fight for Floyd in the beginning), De La Hoya and Hatton (both of the latter made Floyd far more than 8 million).

On the other hand, Tony already lost to Williams and has incentive to redeem himself. He claims to be the most feared man in boxing, when Williams clearly is. He turned down the Paul Williams fight to fight a man with no title. Fighting Mosley is equivalent to Mayweather fighting Judah in that both men lost their last title fight and have no titles, yet remain big names. Even still, Margarito is taking a 2 million dollar paycut to face Mosley and those numbers are more significant then they were before because of how tight the cable networks are now as of the recession.

Not trying to hate here. I rooted for Margarito against Cotto and was a huge fan, but I have to admit that I have been turned off by his utter avoidance of Paul Williams.... Your thoughts?!

Margarito since he ducked 4 million and chance to win ring title but choose to fight a old man 2 million less and no title

Mayweather choose to fight Oscar the number one ranked JR MW for 25 million at a higher weight class

easily Margarito ducking Williams. There is no upside to fighing Mosley and as long a Williams is out there he Margarito shares a portion of the 147 title with him at best.

I won't justify Mayweather avoiding Margarito by any means but I think Margarito ducking Williams is worse. People criticized Mayweather for turning down a career high payday and saying in order for him to say he is the best, he had to fight Margarito. Okay, I won't argue with that. Quite frankly I wanted to see Floyd fight Margarito and Cotto too. However, the minute Margarito gets on top, all of a sudden he turns into this diva expecting things to go on his terms. His win over Cotto definitely puts him in a nice spot, but not one where he has the kind of leverage he wants. Not yet. So now he turns down a career high payday against the one man that beat him who he knows he needs to fight again to earn full bragging rights. What makes it worse is that he once had the reputation of being the supposed "most feared man in boxing" title and with this little move of his, it's truly a slap in the face to his fans I believe.

How is Margarito ducking Williams when he fought him already, lost and asked for an immediate rematch which was then rejected by Williams? you idiots are un-****ing-believable.

But on Tuesday, Goossen provided to Yahoo! Sports a copy of a July 31 letter he sent to Top Rank chairman Bob Arum in which he offered Margarito "a minimum guaranteed (sic) of $4 million against 50 percent of net revenues to Top Rank/Margarito."

Arum responded in a letter on Aug. 5 rejecting the offer.

Arum wrote: "Thank you for your letter of July 31, 2008 regarding Paul Williams.

"After the terrible experience I was subjected to by Paul Williams, his camp and advisor in connection with a (Kelly) Pavlik fight, I have absolutely no intention whatsoever to be involved in any fight with Mr. Williams.

"Accordingly, your proposal is in all respects rejected and I would request that you do no contact me again regarding Mr. Williams."

              Disgraceful

Mayweather at fight night would be 149 while Margarito is 162.

Williams at fight night at WW is 164 and Margarito is 162, 2 pounds difference. He could have won ring title WBO TITLE BUT chooses old man no title 2 million less

I think Marg because it's rooted in trauma from the 1st fight. "Finally a guy my size or bigger and he's ****in me up!"

Floyd on the other hand is a *****.

Mayweather retired because he didn't want to face other prime welterweights.

Arum, not Margarito, prevented the rematch with Williams!

But the same Arum tried to get a fight between Williams and Margarito.
