  • Predictions for Week of Dec. 1st Ring P4P Listing

2 weeks ago Paul Williams was #10 I believe after the loss of Christian Mijares. The next week Ricky Hatton defeated Paulie Malignaggi and took that 10th spot from him. This should tell us the Punisher is ranked 11 p4p right now. Where do you think he is now and who does he pass taking into consideration...

#11 Paul has KO/TKO'd his last 3 opponents, 2 of them champions in different divisions. 3-1 this year.
#10 Ricky Hatton 2-0 this year, lackluster win against Lazcano, but came back to look better then ever in win over Paulie.
#9 Ivan Calderon still undefeated 2-0 defending his titles this year.
#8 Miguel Cotto 1-1 this year. Stopped Contender Gomez and was stopped by the Tijuana Tornado.
#7 Rafel Marquez 0-1 this year. Lost a split decision many believe he won against Vasquez.
#6 Antonio Margarito 2-0 this year. Stopped 2 ww champions in Cintron and Cotto. Making it 3 fights in a row since losing to Williams.

P4P is based on Opinions first of all. And second, the ring list is always BS. I dont know why people give the ring that much credit, since the ring is own by DLH, a promoter plus still a fighter!

He should be there instead of Cotto or Rafa Marquez

OK predict what you think the Ring will do, and you can say where you have him as well.

I think they will have him at #7. Out of those you put in the poll Ill say Marquez even though I know he is very good he is the one who should go of the list. My personal opinion Paul should be at #10. But like I said P4P is based on opinions!!!! I think the last five should be like this
            10.Williams
            9.Hatton
            8.Margarito
            7.Cotto
            6.Calderon

Most importantly, who is really more Pound for Pound than Paul Williams right now?

Fighting and getting knockouts in 3 different weight classes within the year? That's pretty Pound 4 Pound to me.

yeah definitely man and for that reason you can give a good argument for putting him at lowest 8 and highest 5. Izzy is a beast so would be unlikely. He still has a win in 2007 over #6th ranked Margarito. I wonder how many instance does the ring have ppl ranked lower then fighters they beaten recently. I really don't feel like going through each division ranking.
