Humberto Soto says that once he beats Francisco Lorenzo for the vacant WBC super featherweight title on December 20 in Cozumel, Mexico, he wants to unify with IBF champion Cassius Baloyi of South Africa. Soto nearly beat Lorenzo to an inch of his life back in June, but a bad call by the referee, as Soto was finishing Lorenzo off, handed him a loss. The ref ruled that Soto hit Lorenzo while he was down and disqualified him, but a replay showed that Soto never landed any punches while Lorenzo went down. Lorenzo went along with the call. The WBC refused to credit Lorenzo with their interim title in protest of the ref's ruling. [details]

Never happen. Baloyi will make as many bull**** defenses as the IBF lets him get away with in South Africa instead of facing somebody dangerous like Soto. Baloyi is destined to spend his days fighting defenses against the likes of Malcom Klassen and Mzonke Fana until he retiresComment

If I was Soto, I'd also like to unify against Baloyi...that would be like taking candy from a baby.
Pick on someone your own size Soto, call out Valero!

Cassius Baloyi is 5'10'', where as Soto is 5'7''. That would be a hellauva fight.
Soto is a bad ass fighter. I would really like to see him holding 2 belts.Comment
